Cafecito Tambor y Caracol (CTC) reached out to get a logo and brand identity for their new coffee company.
The goal of the project was to create something that looked seasoned and approachable. They aren't marketing to the coffee aficionado who had the $1,000 espresso machine in their kitchen. CTC is for those who start their morning routine with a good cup of coffee, pan dulce from the local market and family time. This coffee is for the early riser who's also making coffee for the whole family. For the people who take pride in supporting Central American coffee farmers and local roasters.
The challenge of this project was to create an identity that spoke to all the individual components that made CTC unique and bring them together in harmony. The logo is meant to give even weight to the Tambor (drum) and Caracol (conch) while also giving the name enough room to be read clearly. Creating a badge for the brand was the best foot forward. To give the brand a "grass-roots" feel, hand-drawn graphics like the coffee plants were added to pair with the hand-drawn logo. Color was inspired by the vibrant palette of Honduras with a balance of cool and warm colors.
